used kk chaos and kk calamity textures and a few doodle fonts to add cup and hearts

i tend to like my wallpaper showing simple reminders and colors or blends that are easy on the eyes.
for this one i blended kim's textures kk_0101 and kk_3112 for the background
and the quote font is old stamper.

beyond layers week 47 - holiday sampler

i started off using the teastained texture kim provided and
wasn't happy with the way my holiday sampler was evolving.
so instead the alphabet part of kim's sample got me thinking
of a bookmark.  i used a paint splatter brush and added the
alphabet on top using a font called stencil brush.
ran it through rad labs a few times and came up with these
two bookmark samples.
i haven't tried this yet, but thinking they could be printed
on heavier weight paper... maybe glued on cardboard
and ribbon or tassel added to top...  so many possibilities
maybe little stocking suffers for the readers on my list.

beyond layers week 37 - inspiration

this weeks challenge was to find inspiration from the book cover 'Beautiful Disaster'
no photo inspiration came to mind so i started a layout in pse using the two textures kim
gave us.  kk_naturally (normal 100%) and kk_steelish (hardlight 80%)
from there i added the jar and than started using different shapes and brushes
moving, re-sizing and re-arranging them all.
i could have kept going and going, but finally decided to stop here...

than decided to try it on one of my home-made grape shots with some tweaking to fit my image.
