beyond layers week fifteen - animated gif

one of this week's challenges over at beyond layers was to create an animated gif.
this is so cool and easy.  i took several shots of ali and max as they came running
toward me.  back home brought the images one psd file and here's my first animated gif...

for this week's water color edition i used kim klassen's wonderful oh my and let go textures

hanging out at the park

after a swim in the river it's time for a game of catch

and a roll in the dirt

looks like we're headed back to the river.

beyond layers week thirteen - now me

when i read this week's challenge - self portraits! yuck!!!
i usually have the camera or hide behind someone/something and make funny faces.
so here goes... still hiding behind something and making funny faces

had to run both through radLabs
color using 'super fun happy'  sure softened things up
and black/white using 'bitchin bw'  trying to get rid of that white bokeh effect thing
happening around my mouth/nose

beyond layers week twelve - vintage/spring/pastel effect

what another great week over at beyond layers
kim started us off thinking about "if not now, than when"... so many great posts - wow!
sure gets a person thinking/journeying/making desktop backgrounds.
one thing i did now was to take advantage of the radLab discount and so glad i did...
i've been playing around with it and i just love, love, love it
this weeks challenge is to create a vintage/spring/pastel effect
i used radLabs mostly for the vintage look and finished off with kim's 'now' texture/soft light
